This is, I guess, some sort of introductory post?
Anyway, I'm Jeremy (feel free to call me jsteelz). Aside from being a transit enthusiast and rant-and-rave guy, I'm also a cellist who goes around town frequently with my cello to rehearsals, concerts and the like, always trying to find some excuse to ride more transit.
I love transit, but in Seattle, as with many other American cities, it's for the most part an underfunded, sloppy mess. It's definitely been getting better though, with additions like the well-overdue Light Rail, Streetcar and RapidRide. All three are awesome in their own ways and are planned for expansion, but still come up short in other ways.
Lamer cities around us like Portland and Vancouver are totally schooling us in terms of transit (but nothing else, obviously).
I'll try to get my other transit enthusiast-cellist to put up some posts as well. It's going to be a random, eclectic blog about anything transit and most predictably some non-transit stuff as well.
But for now, here are some cello-and-transit pics to get you in the mood. (A nice contrast to what the weather actually is!)
