RANT: Cars in Downtown Seattle

It's Christmas Eve and I'm walking around in Westlake with my father, doing some last-minute Christmas shopping. Pedestrians are everywhere, buses as well, but so are cars.
Really people?
I look through the windows of aggravated-looking drivers, cursing the lights and the pedestrians and the traffic. It's as if they weren't expecting there to be a lot of people around at a big shopping center on Christmas Eve.
And to this I say, take the bus. The buses are only on Reduced Weekday schedule which doesn't affect that many routes anyway. You won't have to sit in the street waiting for some person to finish jaywalking to get to the Macy's. You'll enjoy the awesome street performances. You'll love the fresh air as long as you're wearing a coat. You won't have make circles around the underground parking lot waiting for some person to back out of their space. You won't have to wait to text your friend back.
You enjoy the vitality and life of the place so much more when you're walking around it and riding the bus around it. You won't have to worry about parking. And it's so much cheaper because of that.
This was what transit was made for!
